In focus · Moderna (NASDAQ: MRNA)

The company in our focus

In August, Moderna and Merck reported that their personalised mRNA cancer vaccine, intismeran, used together with Keytruda, lowered the risk of melanoma coming back or spreading in a Phase 3 trial. The shares more than doubled in a single day.

That mix of a real scientific milestone and a lot of hype is exactly why we are watching. The full data is only presented at ESMO on 24 October, and the vaccine is not yet approved anywhere.
