About Surava Capital

Built in the open, for young Swiss investors.

Surava Capital is an independent financial education and market-commentary venture, founded by two Swiss students who think investing is explained badly and sold too hard. We're building it transparently, one published call at a time.

Our mission

Make investing understandable for people who are curious but hesitant to start.

A lot of young people in Switzerland are interested in investing but put off by jargon, sales pitches, and the sense that the whole thing is built for someone older and wealthier. We want to change that, with clear macro commentary, plain-language education, and a public record of our own market calls.

We are early, and we are honest about it. Rather than claim a track record we don't have, we are building one in public, documenting what we get right and what we get wrong, so that any trust we earn is earned for real.

What guides us

Our principles

These commitments shape everything we publish.

Honesty over hype

No fake statistics, no invented track record, no borrowed credibility. If we haven't done it yet, we say so.

Transparency by default

Our market calls are documented publicly, including the ones that don't work out. You see the misses, not just the hits.

Evidence over emotion

We reason from data, history, and market structure, not headlines or hot takes.

Education first

Everything on the Education Hub is free and ungated. We would rather teach the "why" than sell you the "what".

Plain language

If we can't explain something without jargon, we keep working on the explanation until we can.

Swiss-focused

Built for the Swiss context, from the SMI to the three-pillar system, not a copy-paste of an American playbook.

Our roadmap

Where we are, and where we're headed

Today

Building in the open

Free macro commentary, market education, and a public trading journal where every call is documented, including the ones we get wrong.

Next

Building the track record

Growing the Insights library and the Trades journal, so there is an honest, public record of our thinking long before we ever ask anyone to act on it.

In progress

Earning the credentials

Completing our studies and pursuing the CFA designation, so the expertise behind the commentary is formal, not just self-taught.

The milestone

Registering properly

Entering the Swiss adviser register under FIDLEG, so that when we offer personal investment advice, it is done compliantly and above board.

The goal

Independent, fee-only advice for a new generation

Honest, conflict-free guidance built for young Swiss investors, with portfolio management added as we grow into it.
